That is where Dimple comes in. Their magnets are the strongest high-temperature grade neodymium magnets in the world. They rip those smaller particles out of the oil stream. Regular neodymium magnets start to lose their magnetism at 175F but Dimple’s have been proven to hold their magnetism at well over 300F.

 

Two of these plugs will complement the rear differential pumpkin housing, one to replace the OEM fill plug and the other to replace the OEM drain plug. When the vehicle is moving, the thick rear differential fluid cascades all over the fill plug, thus it is recommended to use two magnetic plugs rather than just one.
